Herald’s Pet Profile: Jax

Our story started back before Christmas when we found a Mother cat and five baby kittens under our porch in our backyard. I am a lover of all animals (at a distance) and am terrified of cats. We contacted a local pet rescue group called Purrfect Pet Rescue and they were successful in capturing all the cats. They were placed in foster homes and I’m glad to say they are now all adopted into loving homes. Our kitten Jax is from the Purrfect Pet Rescue group! We just fell in love with him the moment we saw him. He fit into our home perfectly and is very well loved. I have gotten comfortable with him jumping around me and actually patted him without oven mitts! Yes I was that afraid! LOL He loves the attention our children give him and has learned to sit and give his paw for a treat. Our daughter would like to be a Veterinarian when she is older and loves to give him a checkup daily. He’s very patient and loves being cuddled and given affection. We are so thankful we rescued him and I’m sure he loves that we did too!!

Wonderful story. So glad Jax’s owner has overcome her fear of cats. They are so endearing & loving. Also, a huge shout out to Purrfect Purrs Cat Rescue group do amazing work in rescuing cats/kittens They work tirelessly & non-stop whenever a plea comes to them or if they hear about abandoned, homeless cats. They are a non profit group without funding from govt. agencies, but rely on their supporters for all their funding requirements.
