Funny Thing About That… Brings Comedians Together For A Cause

Six Newfoundland comedians – Pete Soucy, Berni Stapleton, Jamie Pitt, Stuart Simpson, Steve Coombs and Amy House –are performing a night of comedy at the LSPU Hall on Tuesday June 5th to help raise funds to send a family with an adult undergoing cancer treatments on an all-expense paid vacation from it all.

The mission of the Jennifer A. Cutler Foundation is to create positive family experiences while an adult family member is going through active cancer treatments.  Jennifer Cutler’s family founded the foundation when she succumbed to cancer after a four and a half year battle. The Just Believe Campaign is inspired by the family’s experience going through cancer with her. During Jennifer’s treatments the entire family would always plan a trip for when the treatments would be over. This gave them something positive and exciting to focus on through the rough times. So, the money raised for the Just Believe Campaign will be used to send a family with an adult going through cancer treatment on an all-inclusive trip to Disney World. It’s a beautiful thing.

Funny Thing About That takes place in the main theatre in the LSPU Hall June 5th at 8PM. But come early! The doors open at 7pm for an exciting silent auction in the Cox & Palmer Second Space, during which time there will be 50-50 tickets available for purchase. Tickets are $30 each and can be purchased online at www.rca.nf.ca or by telephone at 753-4531 extension 200.
