Randy and Nikki have the same last name, which she married into. But Randy and her hubby are not related. They actually discuss this in an episode.

I believe my dad, Harvey Metcalfe was a friend with your grandfather. Each year I would take my father back home for a visit he always told me about the “Spracklins”. My dad was born in Brigus and has many fond memories of Brigus. He passed away two years ago at the age of 104. His homestead was at Metcliff Lane and Cooperage Lane. My grandfather was a cooper and live next door to captain of the “Southern Cross” ….I think a sealing ship. I love going back to the rock and Brigus is a favourite place with so many stories from my dad.
