St. John’s, NL based stand-up comedian Matt Wright is proud to announce a hometown show at The Rock House on May 29, 2021 to celebrate the 2021 JUNO Comedy Album of the Yearnomination for his album Existing Is Exhausting. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
This show will see Matt revisiting the material from his JUNO nominated album, with supporting performances throughout the night from local comedians Vicky Mullaley, Mike Fardy, and Veronica Drymond.
Existing Is Exhausting, was recorded in front of a live audience at the Quidi Vidi Brewery in St. John’s, NL, and released on October 3, 2019. Matt toured the album throughout the Arts and Culture Centres in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador in October of 2019, and across Canada opening for Danny Bhoy on his Just for Laughs presented tour through November of 2019.
Matt has appeared on three Just for Laughs Galas (Laverne Cox 2017, Ken Jeong 2018, and Jon Dore 2020), This Hour Has 22 Minutes (where he was a staff writer for three seasons), CBC’s The Debaters, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Halifax Comedy Festival, and internationally at venues like the Comedy Store in Sydney, Australia.
