The following is an official statement from the office of Minister of Veterans Affairs and the Associate Minister of National Defence, Newfoundland and Labrador’s MP Seamus O’Regan, regarding his recent surgery.
====
On Monday, Minister O’Regan was not feeling great and Tuesday it got worse. Assuming it was the flu, as it’s the season, he went to the hospital that afternoon. That evening the doctors felt surgery was necessary. So on Wednesday afternoon? he underwent surgery.
He is feeling much beter and we should expect him up and ready next week. We’re looking ?to have him take part in the Remembrance Day events on Nov 11 but hoping he’s back and ready sooner than that.
=====
The Newfoundland Herald would like to thank MP O’Regan for taking the time to speak with us for our commemorative Remembrance Day issue, which is in stores and online now.
We wish him a speedy recovery.
