Gushue Makes History at 2018 Brier

Defending his Brier title in Regina, Saskatchewan, Brad Gushue has reached an unprecedented milestone, becoming the winningest skip in Brier history.

In the 6th draw of the Tim Horton’s Brier on March 5th, Gushue and Team Canada (which includes Geoff Walker, Brett Gallant and Mark Nichols) bested Northwest Territories 8-4, which pulled him ahead of Kevin Martin and Russ Howard in a three-way tie on the all time Brier wins list at 113.

Gushue now sits alone atop the standings with 114 Brier wins, and looks to bolster that total even further as the Brier progresses throughout the week.

Gushue and Team Canada will take on the Wildcard team led by Winnipeg’s Mike McKewen in a pivotal matchup tonight at 9:30 pm NST.
