The annual Health Care Foundation Hospital Home Lottery returns, showcasing an immaculate luxury home valued at over $1.1 Million to raise funds and give back to the community

“Raising funds and developing strong and sustaining philanthropic relationships to support the highest level of adult health care through the funding of vital medical equipment, research, education and the provision of items that impact patient comfort and care,” this is the mission statement for the Health Care Foundation.
Charitable Organization
As the leading charitable organization which supports Eastern Health in providing the highest level of care to adults from across Newfoundland and Labrador, Health Care Foundation presents their 10th annual Health Care Foundation Hospital Home Lottery.
“The Health Care Foundation is very excited for this year’s lottery, and the support it will provide for health care right here at home,” said Debbie Patten, Chair of the Health Care Foundation’s Board of Directors. “For the first time ever, our beautiful showhome is nestled into the rugged coastline of Conception Bay, matching the eloquent design and decor with a breathtaking view.”
The Hospital Home Lottery is expected to raise approximately $1 million, which won’t be hard considering this year’s vast prize choices include a 50/50 draw — last year’s 50/50 hitting a whopping $432,015 — and 100 Days of Winning Cash Calendar, both guaranteed to pay out big. The 100 Days of Winning Cash Calendar will award $1,000 to a new winner each day for 100 days, beginning July 1. 
They say the early bird gets the worm. In this case, the early bird gets the 2018 Jaguar F-Type Convertible — possibly. Purchase your tickets before midnight, June 1 and enter for your chance to win the luxury car supplied by Global Imports, or $70,000 cash. This year we’ll also see three winners enjoy a cruise for two through the Caribbean with $3,000 cash.
That’s not all, the grand prize is an impressive, beautifully designed $1.1 million ocean front Grand Prize Showhome. Located at 9 Ocean’s Edge Drive in Portugal Cove-St. Phillips, this luxurious 4,311 square foot home comes fully furnished with breathtaking views of Bell Island and Conception Bay. Constructed by Rockwood Homes, fully landscaped and lavishly decorated room-by-room by the professionals at Hayward Interiors, this phenomenal showhome comes with $15,000 cash.

Over $30 million Raised
The proceeds and donations from the Hospital Home Lottery will continue to go towards improving hospitals and health centres across our province, giving back towards a cause that directly impacts every Newfoundlander and Labradorian. Because of previous donations and support from people like you, the Health Care Foundation has made exciting improvements and incredible advancements in programs and services that provide treatment and care for between 75,000-1,000,000 patients annually.
“Thanks to the generous support from our community, the Home Lottery has raised millions for adult health care in our province,” said Paul Snow, President and CEO, Health Care Foundation. “This funding has been used for vital equipment, research and patient care programs, such as Mental Health and Addictions and Cardiac Care.”
In roughly a 10-year period, the charitable organization has raised over $30 million towards healthcare, with the Home Lottery being a major element of their charitable efforts.
“I think lots of people are gonna be coming in from day one, because it is such an awesome area and once they get inside the house, I think they’re gonna be blown away,” shared Ryan Hayward of Hayward Interiors.
