Jeremy Hotz Bringing ‘Dangerously Handsome’ Tour to St. John’s

Known for his astute observational comedy and charming good looks, stand-up comedian Jeremy Hotz announced today that he’ll hit the road in 2019 with his brand new DANGEROUSLY HANDSOME TOUR. The tour stops at the Holy Heart Theatre in St. John’s on March 11th.
Having sold out his last national tour, International Man of Misery three years back, Hotz returns with his constant companion “Shackleton the Wonderdog”, the world’s smallest service animal. Don’t let Hotz’s good looks fool you, he’s still “The Master of Misery”, finding the miserable in the world and turning it into laughs is what makes him tick. But don’t overlook his charming smile and God-given good-looks – it is a winning combination that has audiences falling in love with Jeremy and fans constantly throwing themselves at him.
The Gemini Award winning stand-up comedian actor and writer, fondly referred to as “the master of misery”, will return to his hometown of Ottawa, ON, for two live shows at The Algonquin Commons Theatre on November 23rd.  Celebrated for his original style coupled with side splitting takes on everyday life, Hotz confirmed that both “Profoundly Disappointed” shows will be filmed exclusively for a special forthcoming DVD release.
“I’m really looking forward to shooting a comedy special in Ottawa,” shares Hotz.  “It’s my hometown! The city where I started stand-up in 1984, at the crummy Beacon Arms Hotel on Albert Street.  Jesus…what was I thinking?”
This will be Hotz’s fifth DVD release following “What ever happened to Jeremy Hotz?”, “Oh Canaduh”, “What A Miserable DVD This Is” and “Jeremy Hotz: The Masters Limited Edition DVD” – all hugely successful releases filmed in front of sold out audiences.
One of the most unique stand-up comics working today, Hotz is a proven international success.  With many highly acclaimed performances at the Montreal Comedy Festival, six sold out national Canadian theatre tours, as well as performances across the U.S., Europe and Australia, Hotz continues to impress audiences with his completely original and confused, yet very astute, observational comedy.
With an impressive career to date, Hotz’s resume includes performances on The Late Show, and five appearances on The Tonight Show. He appeared on Comedy Central where he featured in his own stand-up special, and is a talented actor with numerous film and TV credits in addition to writing and performing on the critically acclaimed “The Jon Stewart Show”.
He’s the winner of a Gemini Award and has been honoured with the CCA’s Best Male Stand-Up Award, as well as the Dave Broadfoot Comic Genius Award, the most prestigious comedy award in Canada in addition to receiving the Jury Prize – Best International Performer at the Sydney Comedy Festival in Australia.
Hotz currently has two comedy series in development with more details to come at a later date.
