New Rock Festival Heading to Corner Brook

A brand new music festival is hitting the west coast this summer, saluting those about to rock who want to party every day!

Rockfest on the Rock is a music festival created to showcase the talent of original bands/artists in NL.

Taking place in Corner Brook at the Retro Sportsbar and Arcade from June 26-27, the two day event will feature two 19+ events and two all ages shows, aiming to cater to all age demographics.

“This is a labor of love for me that I have always wanted to see happen on the west coast,” shared event founder Andrew Aylward in a statement. “A festival with something for everybody, if you like hip-hop, we got you. If you like alternative, we got you. Metal, you’re set.”

The festival will feature an announced 16 acts with genres ranging from metal, to rock, hip hop, acoustic, punk, emo rock and more.

The first announced act is St. John’s based metallers Sons of an Eastern Moon, who put the local heavy scene on notice with their debut album L’Anse Aux Metals, earning a spot on The Newfoundland Herald’s annual best of list.

Lineups, ticket prices and an early bird raffle will be announced soon, with the complete lineup anticipated within two months.
