Phill Hood & The Exclamation take ‘Detour’ to St. John’s

15 years after leaving Newfoundland and Labrador to pursue a career in music, Phill Hood is returning home with his band The Exclamation ahead of the release of their new album, Detour.

“I called it Detour because of all the bumps in the road that came across trying to get it finished,” Hood tells The Herald.

Making their way across the East Coast, and with a show in Port Blandford already banked, the band are set to perform at The Fat Cat in St. John’s on Friday May 11th and Distortion on May 12th.

“I’ve toured in and around Canada and the United States for the past six years now and I’ve been carrying a lot of these tunes from home around and tunes that I’ve written myself,” Hood shares. “It’s great to bring to a new audience, but it’s a total different experience to bring it all back home.”

Detour is available on all platforms May 25th. For more visit phillhood.com
