The Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a baby boy.
The new arrival, who is the third child of Kate Middleton and the Duke of Cambridge Prince William, was born at 11:01 BST weighing 8lbs 7oz.
According to the BBC, oddsmakers have rounded out the shortlist of potential names, with favourites including Arthur, Albert, Frederick, James and Philip.
“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz.,” said a statement from Kensington Palace. “The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news.”
